14 Hands Chardonnay 2008

Chardonnay grapes were pressed, inoculated with yeast, then fermented predominantly in stainless steel to preserve their intense fruit characters. A small amount of juice was held back and fermented and aged in oak barrels, to add complexity to the finished wine. Chardonnay from Washington state is known for its wonderful fruit forward flavor profiles. This wine is no exception. Bursting with flavors and aromas of melon, apple and pear, it also reveals slight floral notes in the background. Bright, crisp acidity makes this Chardonnay a perfect accompaniment to food.

IL - $10.99

6th Sense Syrah 2007

The Phillips brothers planted one of the first Syrah vineyards in California in 1982. So knowing the Syrah was a favorite, it had to be given a special name. Grandpa Don is known for having an actual sixth sense. He knows when a woman is first pregnant and whether she will be blessed with a boy or girl. Lose a belonging? Call Grandpa Don, he’ll tell you right where it is! Not only is this wine about having an actual sixth sense, it is about using all of the five senses to enjoy any bottle of wine. If you turn the bottle around you will even see the grandson, Kevin, looking out from the inside of the bottle, making sure the wine he has so lovingly tended to is being enjoyed! Striking aromas of ripe dark fruits radiate from the glass in an earthy, smoky tobacco context. Full, rich fruit flavors of dark berries, whole plum, and blackcurrant fill the palate and hold their flavors through a long and smooth moderately peppery finish. "I smell with one nose, an ancient black rose, a memory lingering, briefly exposed.
I see with two eyes, through shadows and lies, a secret revealing, wrapped in disguise.
I hear with my ears, three fallen tears, echoing softly, heightening my fears.
I taste with my tongue, my panics begun, four sides enclosed, melding as one.
I touch with my hands, a sinister plan, five fingers discerning where I do stand.
I sense with my mind, a thought so unkind, I’m trapped six feet under in a bottle of wine."

7 Deadly Zins 2007

The finish is clean on the palate with hints of rich vanilla, cocoa, and mild tannins.

7 Hills Merlot Columbia Valley 2006

Blended from several vineyards within the Columbia Valley, 2006 was a moderately warm vintage of dry, sun-filled days, with extended hang time. Yields were about average. The grapes were hand picked under ideal harvest weather. This wine shows the balance and lush character of the 2006 vintage, and is very accessible upon release. Gentle tannins and broad, full Merlot fruit flavor is complemented by Cabernet Franc, adding softness and complexity, and a light note of violets. The aroma is of ripe plum and blackberry, enhanced by sweet oak tones of toffee and spice.
